Chi Chi OMFG Palette Review

Hi Guys

Today I am writing a short review on the OMFG palette from Chi Chi cosmetics. Chi Chi cosmetics is an Australian brand but they do ship overseas from their website. They have a great range of products ranging from eye shadows to foundations and most of their stuff is of fantastic quality (maybe an insight to my review). Chi Chi cosmetics is found at Myer and Target and regularly on sale.

This palette is likely to be compared Urban Decays electric palette, however the OMFG palette is much cheaper coming in at $22.95 compared to $70 for the electric palette.

The OMFG palette contains 12 colourful and pigmented eye shadows (see swatches below), I did experience some fallout (to be expected) when using these shadows. I always use a primer and a white base when using colourful shadows like these but they still have great pigmentation. It contains both matte and shimmer shadows with the shimmer shadows tending to be less chalky than the matte.

Overall if you like colours this palette is a must but definitely wait for the sales so you can get it even cheaper ( I got mine for $16.95). This palette is great for creating colourful looks that may not be for everyday but does provide some fun amongst all those neutral palettes we all have. You can also you it to put a pop of colour in a neutral look or just go all out with a rainbow look (see below)

Now for the best part swatches

Left is primer, centre is white base (nyx milk) and right is nothing

Here is a little look I created with this palette

Thanks for reading

Sarah

Valentines Day Lush Haul

Hi Guys

So after finding Lush and how incredible it is (feeling disappointed I didn't jump on the band wagon sooner),  I am excited to show some of the new valentines stuff I got. Every year Lush releases new products for valentines day including the much coveted prince charming body wash (which I didn't get, not quite into the lotions and washes yet). I got 2 limited edition bubble bars and lip scrub.

The lonely heart bubble  bar what lush says, "Inspired by the 2006 single ‘Lonely Hearts Still Beat the Same’ by The Research. This lovely bubble bar will turn your bath water a shimmering red, with lemongrass oils, bergamot, jasmine and ylang ylang to lift your spirits. There’s also a glimmer of golden lustre and plenty of cornflour to keep your skin soft." This smells very citrusy and has alot of gold glitter on it that will go every where as soon as you touch it.

The Lonely Heart Bubble Bar -RRP$6.95

Unicorn horn bubble bar what lush says, " Create a magical and enchanting bubble bath filled with calming neroli and lavender essential oils. Complete with sparkling lustre and colourful candy stars enveloped in beautiful pink bubbles."

The Unicorn Horn - RRP$6.95

Lastly I got the kiss lip scrub, what lush says "For a delectable pout dip into this deliciously sweet and perfectly pink scrub, with the same flavour as The Kiss lip gloss. Caster sugar, sea salt, edible red hearts and hundreds and thousands will polish and keep your lips kissable." I havent tried this yet but hopefully I like it better than I like the popcorn lip scrub, it smells like candy so. so far so good.

The Kiss Lip Scrub - RRP$9.95

There was more stuff and I am considering going back to get a bath bomb or two

Thats all for now

Sarah xoxo

Mini Review of my previous Lush Haul

Ok so now I have had time to try few of the products I originally got from Lush and I am very impressed, so far everything I have has left my skin feeling soft and moisturised. So far I have tried the fizzbanger and all things pink bath bombs and the comforter and candy bubble bar. My favourite product so far is the candy bubble bar, it doesn't give as many bubbles as the comforter bubble bar but it has something in it that makes my skin feel so soft and smell awesome. Overall I really like the bath bombs and bubble bars and I am open to trying other products for Lush.

Lush Haul

Hi Guys

So guess who made there first visit to a Lush shop in a long time. I did go to Lush once before this visit to get there lemon cuticle cream, however I had an allergic reaction to something in it so therefore I tended to stay away, but I ever since I decided to start going to gym, I have been suffering alot of muscle soreness and so I'm having quite a few baths. Now the going to Lush can be very overwhelming (the scent really turns me off), they have alot of products, that do alot of different things and sometimes the staff can be very intense.

I went in on Australia day which meant not many people around and gave me some time to look around and smell everything and the shop assistants were quite happy to let me browse at my own pace and help if needed, this made for a pleasant experience for me. I was only looking at bath things as I was still quite nervous about trying the lotions and scrubs due to my allergies last time. If all goes well with what I got I might then branch out into different products. So a warning if you have very sensitive skin then maybe just try a few things and try to get samples, before buying the big sizes especially as they can be quite expensive.  I got 3 bath bombs and 2 bubble bars, I tried to pick ones that I liked the smell of but also different from each other.

My Lush haul

I got a Fizzbanger bath bomb, what Lush says "A toffee-apple for your bath; perfect for the young and young at heart.". It does smell spicy and tangy and sweet but I don't really smell the apple, but maybe the scent will change when I put it in the bath.

Fizzbanger bath bomb RRP $6.75
I also got the honey bee bath bomb, what Lush says "For a soothing, cleansing soak. Honey Bee smells like caramel, much like Honey, I Washed The Kids soap and Soft Coeur massage bar do. Honey Bee holds its own special distinction, though; in addition to soothing honey, it has Moroccan rhassoul mud to deep cleanse and soften your skin. The world’s best spas offer honey or mud baths on their menus. Now, you can have both in one go, for roughly 1% of the cost.". Now this one does have a sweet honey smell and looks pretty too

Honey bee bath bomb RRP $6.25
Last bath bomb I got the Think pink bath bomb, what Lush says "The Think Pink Bath Bomb is back with a slimmer figure. We’ve made it smaller, but this hot pink bomb is still fragranced with tonka bean’s edgy aroma and the sweetness of vanilla absolute. It’s sweet, but not overbearingly so, with a subtle bite that will remind you of pink bon-bons. We highly recommend you spoil yourself with our gloriously indulgent, rather sophisticated surfeit of pinkness." This one is my favourite scent and the best way I can describe it is girly, this bath bomb smells really girly and pink. This one is about 2/3rds the size of the other 2 but still quite a good size.

Think pink bath bomb RRP $5.50

I got 2 of their bubble bars, these you crumble under running water and then you get bubbles. These are quite big and you can generally get more than one use out of these depending on how bubbly you like your baths.

I got a cult favourite the comforter bubble bar, what Lush says "This fruity bubble bar gives the feeling of being hugged by a jolly blackcurrant. When life is getting you down, crumble The Comforter under hot, running water for purple water and creamy bubbles. The warm aroma of cassis absolute is relaxing so relaxing that you’ll go to bed feeling happier and the world will seem brighter the next day." I got this because its a cult favourite among Lush lovers and smells really yummy.

The comforter bubble bar RRP $10.50
Lastly I got a creamy candy bubble bar, what Lush says "Sweet, frothy and fluffy bubbles that smell like custard creams. What a delight it is to have a bath in the equivalent of a cup of vanilla flavoured, frothy, hot chocolate topped with marshmallows. The Creamy Candy bath is like the friend you're always delighted to see, because he bubbles over with cheerfulness no matter what life throws at him. For days when your friend is busy, it's time to indulge in some Creamy Candy." Yes this does smell like candy and is my favourite scent by far.

Creamy candy bubble bar RRP $6.95
So thats all I got and hopefully there will be many more Lush hauls to come in future.

Bye for now

Sarah xoxo

Tarte Review (what I got from Sephora Sydney)

Hi Guys

Today I'm reviewing the Tarte products I picked up at Sephora (Yay!!!!!), I was really excited to see this brand at Sephora and for them to actually have stock (alot of brands didn't have much stock).

Lets start with the foundation first. The Tarte amazonian clay airbrush mineral foundation has had alot of hype on you tube and many blogs, so of course I was intrigued and when I saw it stocked at Sephora  I got colour matched to fair honey. It says its for fair skin with peach undertones. I really like this foundation, it wears quite well for a powder foundation and has great coverage. I did notice that after walking around on a really hot day (close to 40 degrees Celsius) it did get quite patchy (not unexpected considering). I wear this foundation when I want more coverage and something light weight. I also got the brush that Tarte made to go with foundation and I love it, It works really well at applying this foundation and is really dense and soft. However if you have a dense kabuki brush that will also work really well. My overall thoughts are I really like this foundation but on hot days wearing a primer underneath is a must.

Tarte amazoian clay blushes have earned cult status among the beauty community, so many you tubers and bloggers rave about them. I mean I have never heard some much hyper about a blush (except for maybe the hourglass blushes) and of course I had to know what this hype was all about. I must say I get it!!! I love these blushes, they look fantastic on great colour pay off and they don't emphasise pores. Most of the blushed don't have much shimmer and the ones that do only have a very fine shimmer particles. I got the colours fearless (pink) and captivating (peach). Overall I really like these blushes and really think they are worth the money.

Lastly on to the mascaras I picked up the lights camera lashes (purple) and light camera flashes (gold). Again I really like both mascaras for different reasons, the lights camera lashes is a great every day mascara. It gives volume and a little length for a nice fluttery look. The lights camera flashes mascara is a two step mascara one side the brush is for volume and one is for length (it has 1 and 2 on the lid). this mascara really does give my lashes volume and length, this is a good mascara for false lashes look, good for those who like the look of false lashes but find them uncomfortable.

Overall I am really enjoying all of my Tarte products and really glad that Tarte is finally available in Australia (hopefully to be available in Melbourne soon!)

Sarah xoxo

Sephora Haul

Hi Guys

Guess where I went over the Christmas period.............Sydney and in case you've been living under a rock the first Australian Sephora store just opened in Sydney's Pitt st mall. So of course I went there :). I tried not to go to nuts but I did drag a friend with me into the chaos and spent a good few hours in the shop, so now I'll share with you what I got.

The first stop I made was at the Tarte stand, I have heard so much about this brand and couldn't wait to pick up some stuff. I got 2 amazonian clay blushes and peach (captivating) and a pink (fearless), a lights camera flashes and a light cameras lashes mascara and the amazonian clay mineral foundation and brush to put it on. I totally get the hype around this brand now everything I bought I LOVE! I can't wait to get more blushes and try some more products so glad Tarte is in Australia

Tarte Amazonian clay blushes in Captivating (peach) and freedom (pink) RRP$42.00, Amazonian clay 24hour air brush full coverage foundation RRP$53.00 and kabuki RRP$40.00 and lights camera flashes (gold) and flashes (purple) mascaras RRP$32.00 and $29.00

I then stopped by the becca stand and got one to the packs with 3 shimmering skin perfectors in it (opal, peral and champagne gold) and so far I am enjoying them, they give you a lit from within kinda glow not I just walked through a glitter storm highlight, which I prefer.

Becca shimmering skin perfector in (L to R) champange gold, opal and pearl RRP$45.00

I have been lusting after benefit tints for awhile now but just couldn't pay the $55.00 for one bottle, so when I saw the box of 2 mini tints (benetint and posie tint) and 1 mini high beam I couldn't resist. I am still yet to try these but will let you know what I think when I do.

Poise tint, bene tint, high beam RRP$29.00
Then I found my way to the bite beauty stand and again I have heard so much about this brand I had to get something. I got one of their luminous creme lipsticks in palomino (a bright fuchsia), I have only worn this once but so far so good, not drying at all.

Luminous creme lipstick in Palomino RRP$33.00

I also found the OCC stand and while most of the lip tars were sold out I did get the lip tar test tubes set, still have to put this one to the test and will let you know my verdict soon.

Lip tars Lip stain test tubes RRP$26.00

2nd last stop on my sephora tour was the the it cosmetics stand, I found the much loved naturally pretty palette and so far I'm loving it, even if the packaging is ugly and really not practical.

Naturally pretty palette RRP$62.00

Lastly I went to the sephora collection stand (which took up a whole wall), my picks from what was left included 2 lipsticks, 1 lip stain and 1 palette.

Lip stain RRP$19.00, Lipstick RRP$17.00 and Palette $34.00
Now because I spent and lot of money went on boxing day I was able to enjoy one of their promotions and picked up the sephora chroma palette for $30 normally $80. This palette include ls 54 eyeshadows,  10 eyeliners and a double ended brush.

Bye for now

Sarah xoxoxo

P,S HAPPY STRAYA DAY!!!!!!!!!
