Tarte Review (what I got from Sephora Sydney)

Hi Guys

Today I'm reviewing the Tarte products I picked up at Sephora (Yay!!!!!), I was really excited to see this brand at Sephora and for them to actually have stock (alot of brands didn't have much stock).

Lets start with the foundation first. The Tarte amazonian clay airbrush mineral foundation has had alot of hype on you tube and many blogs, so of course I was intrigued and when I saw it stocked at Sephora  I got colour matched to fair honey. It says its for fair skin with peach undertones. I really like this foundation, it wears quite well for a powder foundation and has great coverage. I did notice that after walking around on a really hot day (close to 40 degrees Celsius) it did get quite patchy (not unexpected considering). I wear this foundation when I want more coverage and something light weight. I also got the brush that Tarte made to go with foundation and I love it, It works really well at applying this foundation and is really dense and soft. However if you have a dense kabuki brush that will also work really well. My overall thoughts are I really like this foundation but on hot days wearing a primer underneath is a must.

Tarte amazoian clay blushes have earned cult status among the beauty community, so many you tubers and bloggers rave about them. I mean I have never heard some much hyper about a blush (except for maybe the hourglass blushes) and of course I had to know what this hype was all about. I must say I get it!!! I love these blushes, they look fantastic on great colour pay off and they don't emphasise pores. Most of the blushed don't have much shimmer and the ones that do only have a very fine shimmer particles. I got the colours fearless (pink) and captivating (peach). Overall I really like these blushes and really think they are worth the money.

Lastly on to the mascaras I picked up the lights camera lashes (purple) and light camera flashes (gold). Again I really like both mascaras for different reasons, the lights camera lashes is a great every day mascara. It gives volume and a little length for a nice fluttery look. The lights camera flashes mascara is a two step mascara one side the brush is for volume and one is for length (it has 1 and 2 on the lid). this mascara really does give my lashes volume and length, this is a good mascara for false lashes look, good for those who like the look of false lashes but find them uncomfortable.

Overall I am really enjoying all of my Tarte products and really glad that Tarte is finally available in Australia (hopefully to be available in Melbourne soon!)

Sarah xoxo

Sephora Haul

Hi Guys

Guess where I went over the Christmas period.............Sydney and in case you've been living under a rock the first Australian Sephora store just opened in Sydney's Pitt st mall. So of course I went there :). I tried not to go to nuts but I did drag a friend with me into the chaos and spent a good few hours in the shop, so now I'll share with you what I got.

The first stop I made was at the Tarte stand, I have heard so much about this brand and couldn't wait to pick up some stuff. I got 2 amazonian clay blushes and peach (captivating) and a pink (fearless), a lights camera flashes and a light cameras lashes mascara and the amazonian clay mineral foundation and brush to put it on. I totally get the hype around this brand now everything I bought I LOVE! I can't wait to get more blushes and try some more products so glad Tarte is in Australia

Tarte Amazonian clay blushes in Captivating (peach) and freedom (pink) RRP$42.00, Amazonian clay 24hour air brush full coverage foundation RRP$53.00 and kabuki RRP$40.00 and lights camera flashes (gold) and flashes (purple) mascaras RRP$32.00 and $29.00

I then stopped by the becca stand and got one to the packs with 3 shimmering skin perfectors in it (opal, peral and champagne gold) and so far I am enjoying them, they give you a lit from within kinda glow not I just walked through a glitter storm highlight, which I prefer.

Becca shimmering skin perfector in (L to R) champange gold, opal and pearl RRP$45.00

I have been lusting after benefit tints for awhile now but just couldn't pay the $55.00 for one bottle, so when I saw the box of 2 mini tints (benetint and posie tint) and 1 mini high beam I couldn't resist. I am still yet to try these but will let you know what I think when I do.

Poise tint, bene tint, high beam RRP$29.00
Then I found my way to the bite beauty stand and again I have heard so much about this brand I had to get something. I got one of their luminous creme lipsticks in palomino (a bright fuchsia), I have only worn this once but so far so good, not drying at all.

Luminous creme lipstick in Palomino RRP$33.00

I also found the OCC stand and while most of the lip tars were sold out I did get the lip tar test tubes set, still have to put this one to the test and will let you know my verdict soon.

Lip tars Lip stain test tubes RRP$26.00

2nd last stop on my sephora tour was the the it cosmetics stand, I found the much loved naturally pretty palette and so far I'm loving it, even if the packaging is ugly and really not practical.

Naturally pretty palette RRP$62.00

Lastly I went to the sephora collection stand (which took up a whole wall), my picks from what was left included 2 lipsticks, 1 lip stain and 1 palette.

Lip stain RRP$19.00, Lipstick RRP$17.00 and Palette $34.00
Now because I spent and lot of money went on boxing day I was able to enjoy one of their promotions and picked up the sephora chroma palette for $30 normally $80. This palette include ls 54 eyeshadows,  10 eyeliners and a double ended brush.

Bye for now
